Manoa Valley Theatre

MVT’s Board of Directors conducts its business through committee work and monthly board meetings. Board committees and responsibilities for 2011-12 are:

Artistic Planning
Assists the Producing Director in designing the theatre’s season of plays by reading, discussing and selecting plays to fulfill the theatre’s mission and satisfy the theatre’s artists and audiences.

Building and Grounds
Monitors the condition and maintenance program of MVT’s physical plant and grounds.

Development
Plans and implements strategies to enhance annual giving, major gift solicitation, foundation and corporation solicitation, public grants and estate gifts.

Finance
Oversees MVT’s fiscal operations and accounting.

Manoa Marquee
Plans and produces MVT’s annual fundraising gala, "Manoa Marquee".

Marketing
Develops and implements media and promotional strategies to increase community awareness of MVT and persuade consumers to purchase tickets.

Nominating and Human Resources
Solicits and recommends nominees to the board of directors, oversees elections, monitors board member participation in the activities of the Board of Directors. Assists the Producing Director in issues related to administering the theatre's professional staff.

Strategic Planning
Considers and monitors the theatre's long-term vision, strategic goals and objectives, and strategies to achieve them.
